Christmas Lights!

Helping out with the lights this year... I know Brad can't wait to hand this job over and at this rate it'll only be a couple of years and T will have it covered!!!

Oh and yes... I do realize this is a very unsafe activity for a child that likes to wrap things around himself and put them in his mouth... but hey, he had a ball!

Gobble, Gobble...

Just in time for turkey day, T finally started telling us what a turkey says!!! In fact he's pretty much telling us everything these days... the boy's turned into a little parrot, it's so funny to hear big words come out of this little guys mouth, I love it! We certainly have much to be thankful for this year!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Tyler discovered the wonders of an M&M today...

Blowing on the turkey because it was "hot"...

Enjoying a pre-dinner "nack"

If you ever wonder why there's no pictures of the 3 of us...

Welcome to the world Lucy!

Miss Lucy (Lucile Ida VanZwieten) made her debut last Friday, November 20th... she's absolutely perfect, just look at this little bundle! Her big sis is so happy to have a little sister and her big brother is very intrigued by her. Tyler loves having 3 cousins, he won't stop saying "baby" and really would love to give her a big smooch!!!

Leaves!

Tyler is loving the leaves this fall... especially when we head out to rake, we've got a little helper on our hands!

Poor T had a meeting with the driveway this past weekend and ended up with yet another goose egg (his Grammy swears I need to hold his hand at all times or put a helmet on him!!!) and a pair of glasses with blacktop scuffs on the lenses and lots of scratches. So needless to say, Ty's been glasses free lately... we're already using our "1 time lens replacement per year" and we're only 5 weeks in... I'm starting to think that 1 year-olds and glasses aren't the best combination!

Also this weekend Miss Ali had her first piano recital so we all went to dinner to celebrate. Here's the lady of the hour and the boys sharing some cousinly love from their high chairs (Tyler's obsessed with kissing lately... cousins, parents, even his classmates at school are lucky recipients of his open mouth kisses, oh the germs!!!)

Where's Tyler???

Yes, this is one of Tyler's favorite activities these days... putting anything over his head and usually walking around, but he decided to sit still and pose for the camera this particular evening.

This past week poor boy had a virus of some sort... probably Roseola, he still has a rash that would make anyone that sees him think he should be in quarantine... but he was quite the trooper and had a great week hanging with the Grandma's instead of Daycare! Thanks again to G&G Hoffmann for making the trek to cbus 2 days this week... T had a ball! I also noticed this week that Tyler officially has 4 molars on their way! It's weeks like this that really make you appreciate Children's Motrin...

Trick-or-Treat

Here's our little monster... the best view of him was from behind as he'd waddle his way down the street! After watching how many times he took a tumble, I'm sure we made the right decision on costume this year... the one with the most padding! It wasn't the costume or watching the other kids that got T excited, Halloween to him was all about the lollipops!

Ty went Trick-or-Treating with the cousins too...
Could Will's fire truck costume be any cuter?!

This is the only picture I got of the two of them together... it's nearly impossible these days!
Even worse than that, I didn't get any pics of Ali, she was off and running and had no time for pictures... I guess there's always next year!!!

Jack-O-Lantern

Tyler carved his first pumpkin yesterday, he had a great time getting the insides out and considering he went back for seconds, seems to really like the taste of raw pumpkin! He loves that his pumpkin has a face, he gave it kisses before, but loves it even more now!

Admiring his masterpeice!

First Haircut...

Tyler went to get his first haircut this past weekend... on the positive side he looks like such a big boy with his hair all neat and tidy (momma misses those crazy long baby hairs though!!!), on the negative side it was a very traumatic experience for everyone involved...

It all started out fine with getting into a big firetruck, but as soon as that lady took out her comb and scissors the tears were unleashed and didn't stop even for The Wiggles, a sucker, a balloon, mommy dancing and singing or sitting on Daddy's lap! We had to wrangle the boy down and managed to get his hair cut with trimmers instead of scissors... a much safer option given the circumstances!

I think it'll be awhile before we attempt another one of these!!!

Oh, and I didn't get many pictures since all men on deck were needed to get the task accomplished!!!

Painting Party!!!

With the weather cooling down, I need to quickly find some new indoor activities! Yesterday, T had a ball painting for the first time with pudding, especially after he realized it tasted so good!
See for yourself...

A boy and his glasses...

I knew he'd be cute, but this much sweetness should be illegal, I just can't get enough of him!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went and picked out our pumpkins this weekend, Tyler had a great time picking up the little pumpkins and carrying them around!

Here's the pumpkin Ty picked out... I hope it makes it to Halloween, for some reason every time he sees it he either licks it or tries to take a bite out of it... go figure!!!
